Yesterday was phenomenal.
Residents of JFM who are blind, some unable to walk or stand, many with mental as well as physical disabilities came down (outside for safety precautions) and were visibly relieved to see good food that they were able to carry, heat easily, chew & enjoy. One elderly gentleman was heard saying to himself as he stood in line for some groceries “God is good”
THANK YOU to EVERYONE who were able to contribute yesterday – HUGE PROPS to our new friends Charlotte Pilato, Greer from The Harbinger, and to everyone who ordered things from our Amazon Wishlist – we had adult diapers, water pitchers with filters, soap & toothbrushes!
We will be there every Thursday, enjoying meeting and learning about our friends at Joseph Floyd Manor!
Volunteers are welcome!
