A Longer TABle

We are the Friends of joseph floyd manor

Purpose

A Longer Table, also known as Friends of Joseph Floyd Manor (FoJFM), is a volunteer-based organization. It is an official non-profit in Charleston, South Carolina.

Our group provides groceries, personal care items, friendship, and community support. These services are offered to the elderly and disabled residents living in two of Charleston’s low-income housing facilities, Joseph Floyd Manor (JFM) and Brighton Place Apartments.

FoJFM hosts a weekly food pantry, alternating between the two facilities, on Thursdays from 10:30am-11:30am.

All are welcome, whether it is to shop for groceries or to volunteer with our group!

GET INVOLVED

We believe that Joseph Floyd Manor and Brighton Place’s residents are valued and cherished members of our Charleston community. They are definitely worth getting to know!

Community involvement is about much more to us than just a one-time interaction. We pride ourselves our our recurring food pantry format, which allows us to really get to know these amazing folks.

We are incredibly thankful and immensely grateful when anyone wants to advocate and support alongside us. Whether it is a visit to volunteer during a food pantry, joining in our yearly Secret Santa, hosting a drive at your office, or making a donation, we are appreciative of any support given. Please reach out if you would like to support us in any other manner, we are always open to new ideas!
